The Irish coaching staff is already hard at work recruiting the nation's top juniors. Junior safety Elijah Shumate and his Don Bosco Prep classmates didn't have school on Wednesday, but the 6-foot-1, 205-pounder from Ramsey, N.J., spent plenty of time on the phone with his high school coach, who passed along an important message to call Notre Dame assistant coach Bob Diaco.
