Bisnowaty learns more about MSU

Last week offensive tackle Adam Bisnowatyof Fox Chapel Area High School in Pennsylvania made a Midwest trip that allowed him to stop into several schools including Michigan State University. The Rivals top 250 prospect already has double-digit scholarship offers on the table and is getting All-American consideration. SpartanMag.com spoke with the 4-star prospect and got some details about the trip.

The 6-foot-6, 275-pound Bisnowaty made a 3 day trip to the heart of Big Ten Country to visit Michigan State, Michigan, Notre Dame and Purdue. He was supposed to visit Cincinnati, but car trouble caused them to miss checking out the Bearcats. A return trip to the Queen City could occur later.

Bisnowaty first stop was Ann Arbor to check out the Michigan Wolverines. He enjoyed his time there and told Rivals.com analyst Josh Helmholdt the following:

"I liked Michigan a lot," Bisnowaty said. "I feel they are a step ahead of everyone when really starting to look at technology and using iPad's for all of their books and electronics. That was a neat thing. They also got a new practice field and new indoor [facility], so they are stepping it up."

From there it was off to East Lansing to learn more about Michigan State University andteh Spartan program.

"The trip was great," Bisnowaty said. "I really liked Coach (Mark) Staten. I was able to spend the day with him as well as some of the players and I really enjoyed it. I liked how laid back everything was. The campus is really niece and the people are very easy going."

One of the players Bisnowaty was able to spend time with is red-shirt freshman offensive tackle Skyler Schofner. Bisnowaty was able to talk candidly with Schofner about Michigan state Univerity and being a Spartan.

"It was good talking with Skyler who has been around there and seeing how their life was," he said. "He gave me lots of good information about the program."

The trip continued to West Lafayette and then on to South Bend. The Fighting Irish have not offer Bisnowaty and it looks like the Spartans and Wolveriens set the bar high.

Bisnowaty indicated that the trip to the Midwest will go a long way toward finalizing his list of top 5 schools he is going to seriously consider this fall. A trip to Florida is planned for later this summer. That will allow Bisnowaty to compare some of the southern schools to what he saw this past weekend in the Midwest.

Offensive Line Coach Mark Staten will continue to recruit Bisnowaty hard for Michigan State University. Don't be surprised if the Spartan Staff tries to get him on campus for an official visit this October. The Spartans are hosting Michigan and Wisconsin on back-to-back weeks and they are looking to get several high-level recruits on campus to take in the game-day atmosphere.
