Top targets set to visit

Georgia's game Saturday against Auburn will see one of the best batches of top UGA targets that has been in Sanford this year.

Among those scheduled to attend including 2012 commit John Theus and 2013 target Robert Nkemdiche.

Theus will be attending with his other Dawg night commits and good friends, Brice Ramsey and Derrick Henry. The fourth member of the infamous Fab Four, former UGA 2013 commit Tramel Terry, will also be back in Athens for the first time since reopening his commitment earlier in the season.

Dywer (Fla.) dual threat quarterback Faton Bauta and Harris County defensive end Jordan Jenkins will both be taking their official visits this weekend.

Top UGA linebacker target and Alabama commit Dillon Lee, whose brother Dallas was a starter for the Dawgs before fracturing his ankle in the Florida, will be back as a recruit after missing a rare, for him, Georgia game last weekend to be in Tuscaloosa for the Alabama-LSU overtime game. Another non-Bulldog commit who said will likely attend is Vanderbilt commit Josh Dawson, who has recently been receiving a lot of attention from the Georgia coaching staff, sending both defensive coordinator Todd Grantham and defensive line coach Rodney Garner to his high school game a few weeks ago.

With no 2012 defensive back commits to date, Oxford (Ala.) Trae Elston would be a big get on campus for the Dawgs if he is able to attend. Rivals.com's No. 10 safety in the nation said he is 50-50 right now on whether he'll make it or not. Also, 2013 Sandy Creek corner back Shaq Wiggins said he intends on making the game.

Two top 2012 defensive back targets Yuri Wright and Chaz Elder, who said he will be attending the South Carolina-Florida game.

Other Dawg commits who have confirmed they will be attending are the Jenkins County duo of Jonathan Taylor and James Deloach, Colin Barber, Stanley Williams, Tray Matthews, Quayvon Hicks, John Atkins, and Leonard Floyd. Greg Pyke had intended since early in the season on making his way from Maryland to Athens for the game, but his playoff game fell on the Saturday thus cancelling his plans.

After recently announcing that Georgia had made his top 5, West Laurens linebacker Johnny O'Neal will be taking in the UGA game from the sidelines, in addition to high profile Bulldog offers Peach County wide receiver Demarcus Robinson and Walton offensive lineman Brandon Kublanow. Top running back targets and Georgia offers Keyante Green, and Tyshon Dye both said they will be there, as well as the big trio from Tri-Cities in [/db]Shamire Devine[/db], Dominque Threatt, and Jermi Hall.

As for big targets that could not attend due to playoff scheduling, Lowndes standout Josh Harvey-Clemons, Alabama commit Ruben Foster, and Cedar Grove quarterback Jonathan McCrary all said they had intended on being in Athens but drew a Saturday playoff game.

So while Georgia plays to remain in the proverbial driver's seat for a shot at going back to the Georgia Dome in December, they also know they are performing for a future with implications beyond this season. Game on.
